The Falcon Acoustics Classic 15 ohm LS3/5a, authorized by the BBC, and hand-assembled by Falcon in Oxford, England. It is the only LS3/5a in production that faithfully replicates the original BBC design published in October 1976.

The result of nearly two years of development, the Falcon LS3/5a is a true British classic 15 ohm LS3/5a. It continues the long tradition of the genuine BBC-licensed British LS3/5a, dating back to the 1960s.

The drivers are the Falcon B110 woofer and the Falcon T27 tweeter, both designed by Malcolm Jones, the original designer of the KEF B110 and KEF T27, to specifications in the original 15 ohm LS3/5a designed by the BBC. Both driver units are handmade in the UK to ensure the highest quality, grading, and consistency, and are identical to the original LS3/5a driver units.

The FL6/23 crossovers with BBC 15 ohm specifications are exclusively made by Falcon with the original transformer according to BBC specifications and contain inductors specially made in Britain for Falcon to original specifications.

The cabinets are handcrafted from selected quality birch wood with beech reinforcing battens. They are produced in Britain according to BBC specifications.
